With an average of 5 very large, easy-to-peel cloves per bulb, Montana garlic is known for producing the large bulbs and plants in the garlic field or garden.
Montana will produce extremely large bulbs with an average of:
- 1-2 bulbs in 1/4 pound (5-10 cloves for planting)
- 2-3 bulbs in 1/2 pound (10-15 cloves for planting)
- 4-6 bulbs in 1 pound (20-30 cloves for planting).
Long storage for hardneck garlic, when properly cured can store into early spring.

Hardneck garlics are the best option for Northern gardeners, as they tend to be cold hardy and can withstand extreme winter temperatures.
Suggested planting in USDA growing zones 3-8, not recommended in extreamly warm climates.
All seed is shipped as full bulbs, and will begin shipping in September for fall planting.
